Why We Need Your Electric Utility Bill

Learn why Arcasa needs your electric utility bill, what it's used for, and how to send it so we can get your solar installation started right away.

What we need (and what we don't)

We need your electric utility bill, the one from your electricity provider.

We do not need your gas bill, water bill, or any other utility. Just electric.

Why do we need it?

Your solar system will generate clean energy and send any excess power back to the grid. Your utility company gives you credits for that, which is how solar reduces your monthly electricity costs.

Before installation can begin, your utility company needs to formally approve the solar system for your home. To apply for that approval, we need a few details from your current electric account, typically your account number and the name on the account.

That's it. Your utility bill has all of it.

You're in good hands

Once we have your bill, Arcasa and our local build partner handles everything from here, including the utility application, the approval process, and coordinating next steps. Usually you won't need to deal with your utility company directly regarding your solar.

The sooner we get your bill, the sooner we can submit your application and get your installation scheduled.

How to send it

Reply directly to your Arcasa text message with your utility bill info. You can text a photo of your bill, or email it to loans@arcasa.io. A photo from your phone is totally fine. It doesn't need to be a scan.
